Then this came. Two colour patchwork, beautifully handmade, just for me. Wow.
from Flibbertygibbet. A housewarming card. Isn't it lovely? It was a big surprise, and bought a tear or two to my eye. So kind.
And then, by email, from the Sagittarian....
She took this picture in Christchurch, during the Chinese New Year celebrations. It reminds me of a picture I took in Venice, 20 years ago. Hers is better.
Friends. It's an inadequate little word sometimes.

Now that's mail worth getting.
Very nice photo of the Avon River.
The eskimos have (how many?) words for snow, yet we call all sorts of people a friend.
Hope you are enjoying some time and space to let the clogs in your brain run free. Looking forward to see the sunset.
(btw my mum just broke her leg in 3 places and my sister is "looking after her" for a week while dad is away. The mid boggles)
You did it! hhahahahah
lovely.
but... you have clogs in your brain??
clogs in the brain, clogs in the heart, maybe the cogs in my brain need freeing up?
I am reminded of the time I said to a boyfriend whose French was much less rusty than mine "il y a des clous dans mes seins". What I was trying to say was "there are holes in my brain" (il y a des trous dans mes cervaux). What I actually said was "there are nails in my breasts".
Let your clogs run free... clippety clop, clippety clop...
Lovely!!!
Friends can be so healing! ;-)
Warm hugs to you!
I am so glad you are being surrounded by those who love you. Friendship is often an inadequate word.
