The Kiss, by Rodin. You know him, The Thinker is his too. You can see them both, at the Musee Rodin, in Paris. A comparatively small, not so crowded gallery, in a beautiful garden. This was one of the most memorable works of art I saw in Europe (a long long time ago). It's incredibly sensual, and the photograph doesn't do the detail justice. But such passion.....ahhhhh.....

I LOVE this piece! I went to drama school in Cardiff, Wales, and each day I had to walk past the museum to get home. It was free to visit and for several weeks they had The Kiss in display in the foyer. I've lost count of the number of times I used to pop in for another look. They didn't mind you touching it either. Thanks for bringing back that memory.
OOOH, sigh. Mind you, didn't Klimt do something kissey kissey too? Somebody that I know (am in the clutches of old timers and can't quite recall who) - was it you - has a picture of Klimt's The Kiss on their wall. If I am wrong, the first round is on me.
